The Plow Bolts are designed with a short square sinking head under the head of the bolt. The square part is used to prevent rotation when fastened through nuts. Plow Bolts are usually used in plow and other heavy equipment. The name of these bolts comes from connecting the cutting edge of the plow to the plow blade. Plow bolts are stronger than standard bolts, making them ideal for heavy machinery.

Plow bolts are similar to bracket bolts, but they have flat heads and will be flat once installed. They have this flat head because they are usually used to expose the dome head. The flat head prevents wear and allows the bolt to last longer on the scoured surface (where the head of the bolt will be exposed to high wear areas). Plow bolts are measured from the top to the tip of the bolt. Nuts can be removed by removing them from the bolt and hammering the tip until the square part withdraws from the hole.
